Motivational Maps

Motivational Maps are unique in their simplicity, application, and usefulness. They identify and measure motivation rather than personality. This helps individuals and their managers understand the ‘why’ behind their values, behaviour, decisions, and performance – and therefore, to create change at this deeper level. This is fundamental in significantly increasing personal and career development, supporting managers and teams to increase productivity, and providing the emotional ‘glue’ to achieve successful organisational and local change.

The Motivational Map is an ISO accredited self-perception inventory, which takes just 12 minutes to complete on-line. There are no right or wrong answers with the Maps – it’s about understanding what drives each of us and influences our decisions and behaviour, and therefore, performance and happiness.

Key features and applications of the assessment:

The Motivational Maps are good for:

  • Understanding individual performance drivers.
  • Employee engagement.
  • Understanding “your why”

The assessment generates an individual report and a team or department-wide reports.  The individual report provides critical information on the factors that drive an individual to performance or non-performance.  The team report is designed to provide a snapshot of the entire team, and each member’s contribution to team performance.

What They Say

Motivational Maps is a great instrument to work with, whether it be for yourself, your client or team. I have no hesitation in recommending James and the Motivational Maps team.

Norma, International Coach Federation

The sessions were superb and the outputs and results are genuinely business changing. Our SMT felt valued and engaged, understood each other better and frankly more efficient.

Jonathan, Bright Blue Day

I’ve just completed my training to become a Business Practitioner for James’ Motivational Maps. The Maps are fantastic, and the support and training provided have been great!

12 Driving Forces®  (Motivators)

The Driving Forces assessments is designed to identify the drivers behind behaviour – the Why we move in to action.  12 Driving Forces® unlocks this Why as these represent our values.  It is based on Eduard Spranger’s research and reports what is motivating us at work and in life.

What does the 12 Driving Forces® measure?

The assessment measures the relative prominence of six basic interests or values:

  • Theoretical – a drive for knowledge and learning
  • Utilitarian – a drive for practicality, value and ROI
  • Aesthetic – A drive for beauty and creative expression
  • Social – a drive for compassion and helping others
  • Individualistic – a drive for uniqueness, status and to lead
  • Traditional – a drive for unity, order, and a system for living

The report will help illuminate and amplify some of these motivating factors and bring to the fore the strengths that each person brings to the workplace.  By measuring and ranking these values, we uncover the motivators in a full colour easy to understand report.
